Katarina Kyle
Katarina is a Senior Associate Family Lawyer at McLaughlins Lawyers. Since her admission as a lawyer in early 2020, she has practised exclusively in the areas of family law and domestic violence.
Katarina is passionate about supporting clients through some of the most challenging periods of their lives. She has a particular interest in complex property matters and regularly collaborates with accountants and financial advisors to ensure her clients achieve practical, well-informed outcomes. Wherever possible, Katarina aims to resolve matters through negotiation at an early stage, reserving court proceedings as a last resort.
She is highly attuned to the dynamics of domestic violence and coercive control, taking care to understand each client’s unique circumstances. Katarina is committed to providing clear, straightforward legal advice, delivered with empathy and respect.
Originally from Canada, Katarina has called Queensland home since 2013. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from QUT in Brisbane and began her legal career during her studies as a paralegal at a specialist family law firm, where she discovered her passion for this area of practice.
Katarina is often accompanied at the office by her well-loved dog, Datsun, who is known for making the rounds each morning in search of pats. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at the beach with Datsun or relaxing at a local café with her favourite matcha tea.
