Scott is an assistant professor in the Faculty of Law at Bond University and is a consultant to McLaughlins.
Scott was born and raised in Southport. Admitted as a solicitor in QLD, NSW and the Northern Territory in 1991, Scott has practiced on the Gold Coast since that time with the exception of a period of seven years when he was a partner in a law firm in North-western New South Wales.
Scott has practiced extensively in litigation and commercial law. He has also assisted local and interstate practitioners as a locum to their firms.
Scott is a nationally accredited mediator with extensive experience in mediating family, commercial and estate matters. He is a member of the legal aid farm debt mediation panel.
Scott's main area of practice at McLaughlins is assisting clients in the preparation of wills and enduring powers of attorney together with all aspects of Estate Planning and Administration. This is an area of law which has become increasingly complex over recent years as society and family dynamics evolve.
