Partnership with Arts Centre

McLaughlins Lawyers are privileged to have recently partnered with The Arts Centre Gold Coast as both a Venue Partner of the Centre in its general day-to-day operations, and also as a Founding Partner of the Plus1 fundraising campaigns for the 2015 to 2018 precinct transition period.

The Arts Centre is the Gold Coast’s premier cultural facility, bringing visual and performing arts to residents of, and visitors to, South East Queensland. The complex houses the Arts Theatre, Gold Coast City Gallery, Cinemas and the Arts Cafe as well as several stunning function rooms, a chapel and performance spaces.

There has been increased awareness that the Gold Coast is becoming a multi-dimensional destination, offering a range of experiences and attractions to visitors. The Gold Coast is attracting national attention, with the impending Commonwealth Games in 2018 and development of the Cultural Precinct at Evandale.

The Arts Centre Gold Coast continues to communicate with residents and visitors through both traditional and new media and has a commitment to bringing internationally renowned performances and exhibitions to the Gold Coast, as well as celebrating and nurturing local talent.

The Arts Centre Gold Coast successfully applied to Creative Partnerships’ Plus1 program, to seek assistance with building the Centre’s capacity for fundraising.

Creative Partnerships Australia is supported by the Australian Government through the Cultural Development Program of the Ministry for the Arts, Attorney-General’s Department. The Plus1 Program is Australia’s first federally-funded matched funding program.

McLaughlins is proud to be a Plus1 Founding Member with Arts Centre Gold Coast in its efforts to build the Art Centre’s capacity for fundraising into the future.
