Jason Prismall is a senior lawyer with over 15 years experience, mainly as a property and commercial lawyer.
Jason has specialist knowledge in all aspects of property law, commercial contracts and conveyancing, with a particular focus on leasing, including commercial leasing and retail shop leases. He has extensive experience with many other property and commercial matters including development applications, joint ventures, subdivisions, body corporate work and off the plan contracts.
Jason has a particular interest in leasing matters and commercial conveyancing, which includes property matters as well as business sales and acquisitions. Recently, Jason has had experience with purchases by self managed superannuation funds and their related borrowing requirements due to the changes to the legislation with respect to these entities.
Jason aspires to always meet the needs and to exceed the expections of his clients. He enjoys working as part of the commercial team at McLaughlins and being able to provide timely, cost effective and practical legal advice at all times.
Our Commercial and Property Division has extensive experience in many facets of Property Law and Commercial

- Commercial Leasing and all aspects of legal portfolio management on behalf of a number of high-end property owners for both commercial and retail properties, which include Brisbane and Gold Coast CBD office buildings, retail shopping centres and factory/showroom premises.
- Ancillary services with respect to leasing, including Property Management Agreements and the ongoing development of relevant documentation.
- Large scale commercial property disposals and acquisitions in the Brisbane and Gold Coast CBDs of an aggregated value in excess of $500 million, including all aspects of contract preparation, legal due diligence and completion.
- Residential, body corporate and commercial subdivisions and developments, including:-
- Registration of survey plans, preparation of ancillary documents including easements and covenants and liaising with Local Authorities on all subdivision town planning aspects in both Queensland and New South Wales;
- Establishing Bodies Corporate and acting on behalf of Principal Bodies Corporate within layered schemes;
- Preparation of Agreements to Lease and Leases for commercial and retail developments.
- Joint Ventures with respect to property development and corporate enterprises.
- Corporate structuring including establishment of companies, trust deeds, shareholders agreements and unitholders agreements.
- Business sales and acquisitions.
