Federal Court Fee Changes Commenced 13 July 2015

The federal government has implemented changes to court fees effective 13 July 2015.

Significant increases include:-

• $355 increase for Application for Divorce from $845 to $1,200 (the reduced divorce fee for those classified as facing financial hardship remains unchanged)
• $85 increase in Applications for Consent Orders from $155 to $240
• $125 fee to be introduced for amending applications
• An 11% fee increase on average to all fee categories with the exception of those categories which are subject to a targeted increase (see above)
